Boat Trips in Malta
A boat trip in Malta is the best way to see the islands — and everyone knows it, which is why the public ferries to the Blue Lagoon are packed. Our private Malta boat tours are the alternative: small groups, your own catamaran or sailing yacht, a local skipper who knows where to anchor when everyone else is somewhere else. Whole-boat charters from €700 for up to 15 guests, scaling up to 50 guests on the larger catamarans. We depart from Roland Marina in Ta' Xbiex, with pickups from Sliema, Portomaso, Bugibba, and Mgarr (Gozo) available for an additional fee.
Blue Lagoon Boat Trip
The Blue Lagoon, between Comino and Cominotto, is the most photographed spot in Malta. On a private Blue Lagoon boat trip you get there before the ferries do — we aim to anchor by 9:30am, swim while the water is still quiet, and move on to a second bay before the lagoon fills up around 11am.
A typical Blue Lagoon boat trip from Malta runs around 8 hours and includes the skipper, fuel, snorkelling gear, a cooler box, and towels. We depart from Roland Marina in Ta’ Xbiex.
Is the Blue Lagoon worth visiting?
The Blue Lagoon is one of the clearest stretches of water in the Mediterranean. On a private charter you avoid the crowded public ferries, anchor in a quieter spot, and stay as long as you like. Most visitors also miss the Crystal Lagoon just next door — on a private charter we take you there too.
Comino & Crystal Lagoon Tours
Beyond the Blue Lagoon, the Crystal Lagoon on the eastern side of Comino is equally clear and usually quieter. Santa Marija Bay is calm and shallow, good for families. On a private charter you can cover both lagoons and more of the island in a single day.
Malta Sea Caves Tour
Few visitors realise the caves around Comino are part of the experience. Just south of Cominotto, limestone sea caves cut deep into the cliffs — the water glows blue from below, and you can snorkel straight into them in calm conditions. We include a cave stop on every full-day Blue Lagoon charter.
Blue Lagoon and Blue Grotto Combined
We run a popular combined route covering the Blue Lagoon at Comino and the Blue Grotto on Malta’s south coast in a single full-day charter. This is one of our most requested summer routes. See the Blue Grotto destination page for more detail on the south coast stop.
Gozo Boat Trips
Gozo itineraries take in Dwejra and the Inland Sea on the west coast, Wied il-Ghasri gorge, Ramla Bay, and lunch in the harbour at Mgarr. Full days take off from Roland Marina.
Sunset Boat Tours in Malta
A 4-hour evening cruise on the Elan Impression 45 sailing yacht from €400. This is ideal for couples or small groups of up to 10. It is the perfect way to end a day in Malta.
